On the 22nd of September, 2011, Tuesday Night Fights was held at the Kowloon Bay International Trade and Exhibition Centre. It was the first ever professional boxing event in Hong Kong, with 7 bouts featuring boxers from 7 different countries: Hong Kong, Philippines, Thailand, The Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Korea, Australia, and China.
The spectators were arranged by tables, with each seating ten and selling for HKD$20,000. 36 tables were sold.
The fight event consisted of seven cards, including the debut fight of Hong Kong’s very own “The Wonder Kid” Rex Tso. The main event of the evening was a World Boxing Organisation Oriental Bantamweight title between Diary Gabutan (13-1-3) and Pharkin Phakdeepin (0-1-0).
