On the 31st of December 2018, DEF Promotions partnered with Watanabe Promotions, Muto Promotions, T1arock Entertainment Inc., and MBH Promotions Company Ltd. to organise “Lifetime Boxing Fights”, a 6-bout event in Wynn Palace Cotai, Macau. This event featured boxers from 8 different countries: the Philippines, Japan, South Africa, Hong Kong, Thailand, Macau, India, and China.
While Only 450 VIPs were invited to this deluxe venue in Wynn Palace Cotai, it still was a major fight event due to the fighters involved, with three of the bouts featuring world titles. Additionally, with these three title fights all featuring Japanese boxers, TBS was the main broadcasting platform for the event.
This event was led by a clash between Donnie Nietes (41-1-5) and Kazuto Ioka (23-1-0), with Nietes winning a narrow split decision in what was an epic fight between the two to win the World Boxing Organisation World Super Flyweight title.
Japanese phenom Hiroto Kyoguchi (12-0) continued to impress boxing fans all over the world by defeating Hekkie Budler (32-3) via a tenth round technical knockout victory to win the World Boxing Association Super World Light Flyweight title.
South African veteran Moruti Mthalane (36-2) was able to successfully defend in International Boxing Federation World Flyweight title in a tenth round technical knockout victory over Masahiro Sakamoto (13-1).
DEF Promotions' very own Raymond Poon (6-1) was also featured in the undercard, defeating Thai boxer Awirut Chaladloes (5-1-1) by third round technical knockout to not only defend his World Boxing Council Asian Boxing Council Continental Light Flyweight Title, but to also win the World Boxing Council Youth Intercontinental Light Flyweight Title.
